They say that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.  I reckon that that expression applies to a lot of different items and organizations.  Does it apply to the church?  Think about it. 

               When it comes to the church, I think we are all a bunch of weak links.  We are all opinionated, selfish, jealous, stubborn, and proud.  We are a community of sinners with one thing in common, our willingness to seek God’s grace.

               I believe that our church is not as weak as our weakest link.  Rather, our church is as strong as the unbreakable grace that is shared among our community of weak links.

“On this rock I will build My church,

and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Matthew 16:18
