God’s Word

Will You Read Your Bible This Week?  Perhaps You Will Study A Passage That You Have Bookmarked For Your Group Bible Study.  Maybe You Will Look Up Your Highlighted Verses That Help You Make Right Decisions.  Maybe You Will Even Read Several Chapters That Are Listed In Your Bible Reading Calendar For This Week.  And Perhaps You Will Even Turn In Your Bible To Find Those Verses You Underlined To Give You Comfort In Your Time Of Need.

In Addition To All Of That Time You Will Spend In Your Bible This Week, I Challenge You To Take Some Time To Read God’s Word This Week.  Empty Your Head.  Clear Out A Half Hour Of Time In Your Schedule.  Give God Some Of Your Time To Read His Word.  For Just Half An Hour, Quit Thinking About Your Life And Your Wants And Your Needs.  Open Up God’s Word And Meditate On God’s Holiness, God’s Grace, God’s Mercy, God’s Righteousness, God’s Love, And God’s Glory.

Give It A Try.  I Am Sure That God Will Be Blessed To Be The Center Of Your Attention.

“Oh, How I Love Your Law! It Is My Meditation All The Day.  You, Through Your Commandments, Make Me Wiser Than My Enemies; For They Are Ever With Me.  I Have More Understanding Than All My Teachers, For Your Testimonies Are My Meditation.  I Understand More Than The Ancients, Because I Keep Your Precepts.  I Have Restrained My Feet From Every Evil Way, That I May Keep Your Word.  I Have Not Departed From Your Judgments, For You Yourself Have Taught Me.  How Sweet Are Your Words To My Taste, Sweeter Than Honey To My Mouth!  Through Your Precepts I Get Understanding; Therefore I Hate Every False Way.”

Psalm 119:97-104
