GLORY

What is your favorite part of a Bible study?

Some might like the time to get together with others and have conversations about weather, cattle prices, politics, or things going on in the community.

Some might indulge in the treats that somebody brings to enhance the fellowship.

Some might rise to the challenge of building their knowledge about Biblical facts and figures.

Some might find it necessary to search for relevant answers to life’s questions in God’s word with others.

Some might find satisfaction in leading a small group and discussion before the throne of God.

Some might appreciate the opportunity to share their sorrows and pray with others for their particular needs.

Some might enjoy the opportunity to lead others to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

I enjoy all of these as well.  They are all important parts of a Bible study.  But there is something, or I might say Someone, better.  To spend an hour or more talking and meditating on God’s holiness, God’s majesty, God’s plan, God’s grace, God’s power, God’s sacrifice, God’s resurrection, God’s love, and everything else about God is the ultimate part of a Bible study.  The best part of Bible study is spending time together basking in God’s GLORY!

“Give unto the LORD, O you mighty ones, give unto the LORD glory and strength.  Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness …

And in His temple everyone says, ‘Glory!'”

Psalm 29:1-2, 9
