 First Baptist Church Of Hulett Was Officially Started On October 30, 1904, In The Schoolhouse On The Hill Where The Neiman Sawmill Is Currently Located. The First Pastor Was Reverend Thomas Coffey. He Lived On A Ranch East Of Alva And Conducted Postal Services There. That Ranch Was Later Bought By The McAmis Family And Is Where Irene (McAmis) Willey Grew Up. She Never Remembers Reverend Coffey On Horseback, But Said That He Walked Most Everywhere. That Ranch Is Currently Owned And Occupied By Orville And Judy Hess. After The Hulett Church Was Established, Beaver Creek Baptist Church In Alva Slowly Began To Fade Away And Eventually Closed Down. Below Are The Minutes Regarding The Organization Of First Baptist Church Of Hulett, Wyoming As Transcribed From The Records Of Beaver Creek Baptist Church:
