- He gives us wisdom and prudence (8),
I do not remember the specific day on the calendar, but I remember the month, September, and the year, 1999, and how I FINALLY believed, 100%, that Jesus died for me on the cross. That was all that I understood. At the time, I could not explain what happened in terms of wisdom and prudence – the ideas of grace, mercy, peace, forgiveness, righteousness, justification, and definitely not propitiation!
This is another blessing of salvation. As part of our salvation, God shares His wisdom and prudence with us so that we can better understand what actually happens in the process of salvation. And how does God share His wisdom and prudence with us? Does He zap us with a bolt of instant spiritual enlightenment? Not really. God’s way of sharing wisdom and prudence with us is actually a lot more practical than that. He gives us the book He wrote that is full of spiritual enlightenment, the Bible!
