Pass Them On
We Went To The Annual Bella Pregnancy Center Fund Raiser Last Thursday Night And Listened To The Testimony Of Melissa Ohden, A Woman Who Had Been “Unsuccessfully” Aborted 40+ Years Ago. Now She Goes Around The Country And Does Just That, Shares Her Testimony So That People Know What Really Happens.
As I Listened To Melissa’s Story, I Could Not Help But Think Over A Lot Of Questions In My Head. Why Was She Spared So Miraculously From A Very Purposeful And Coerced Attempt To End Her Life? How Did She Survive Swimming In A Toxic Saline Solution In The Uterus For Five Days Before Her Delivery? Why Was She Found Alive By Another Nurse And Taken To The Neonatal Department? How Did She Survive A Premature Birth, Weighing Less Than Three Pounds? Why Was She Found And Adopted By A Loving And Caring Family? How Did It Happen That She Learned All Of These Details About Her Life, Details That Thousands Of Others In Similar Situations Never Hear About? What Was It Like To Be A Teenage Girl When She First Found Out Some Of The Horrors Of Her Attempted Homicide? What Was It That Compelled Her To Go Public With Such A Story? How Did She Manage To Find Her Birth Parents And Reconnect With Her Birth Mother In A Marvelous Way? Add Up The Miracles And We All Would Agree That She Was Wonderfully Blessed.
And Then I Could Not Help But Wonder About The Those Who Never Made It. What About Those Roughly 930,000 Babies Who Are Aborted In The USA “Successfully” Every Year? Where Is God For Them? Why Doesn’t God Bless Them Like He Did Melissa? Doesn’t God Love Them?
The Answer Is Yes, They Are Loved And Blessed By God. God Loves Them Immensely And Passed Countless Blessings On To Us To Share With These Precious And Needy Babies. But Unfortunately, God’s Blessings Fall Short When Mothers Are Coerced To Kill Their Precious Offspring By Irresponsible Boyfriends, Ashamed Parents, Greedy Abortionists, And Murderous Politicians. God’s Blessings Fall Short When “Medical” Corporations Are More Concerned About Profits They Make From Drug Sales Than They Are About The Lives Their Pills Terminate. God’s Blessings Fall Short When We Work Hard Every Day To Put Food On Our Tables, Roofs Over Our Heads, And Cars In Our Garages But We Look The Other Way When There Is A Woman With Child In Need. God’s Blessings Fall Short When We Live And Celebrate The Good Life In A Nation At Peace But Choose To Be Painfully Silent When The Reality Of A War In The Womb Rages On Around Us. God’s Blessings Fall Short When We Fail To Be Thankful For God’s Love And We Fail To Share That Love With Every Preborn Baby, Every Child, Every Teen, Every Mother And Every Father In So Many Wonderful Ways.
Once In A While God Chooses To Bless Someone Like Melissa Directly So That She Can Give Others A Glimpse Of How Great God Really Is. But More Often Than Not, God Gives Us The Blessings And Expects Us To Pass Them On. Don’t Let God’s Blessings Fall Short. Pass Them On.
“Before I Formed You In The Womb, I Knew You;
Before You Were Born I Sanctified You…” Jeremiah 1:5
