For All Kinds, There Is One!

There is the little baby that is as cute as a button.  There is also one that looks a little deformed, but mom loves him just the same.  There are those little toddlers that hide behind mom and dad’s legs.  And then there are those that run up and down the kitchen utensil aisle, chasing each other with spoons and crashing a cart into the display.  There are the grade schoolers that share their crayons with their neighbors and then the other ones that break their neighbors’ new crayons when no one is looking.  There are boys in high school who always want to help and others that always want to get in the way.  There are high school girls who chase boys in the halls and some that chase boys on the football field.

In college there are some guys who love to study and others who love to play sports and others who love to party.  There are some who never go to college, choosing to work instead.  There are young adults raising a family together, working hard to build a house and a dream.  There are other young adults who have no dream, but live for the party this weekend.  There are adults who volunteer and others who serve and others who keep to themselves.  There are adults who smoke, some who gamble, and others who lead Bible studies at church.  Dentists, lawyers, politicians, mill workers, soldiers, undertakers, teachers, electricians, and ranchers are just a few of the occupations that all kinds of people will do.

At the nursing home there is one woman who is loud and obnoxious, asking everybody for another napkin, even though there is one next to her plate.  There is another who is quiet and sadly looks off into the not-so-distant ceiling.  There is the one whose spouse comes every day and the other one who is still trying to impress all the ladies during activity time.

There are all kinds of people in this world, and they all look somewhat alike.  But when you stop what you are doing and look a little closer, they all look and act very differently.  Sometimes you wonder why God made him that way and why she was born and raised in that place.  You wonder, how could this one be so smart and that one so dumb?  How could she be so slow while that other one is so fast?  8 billion people, and they are all so very different.  All kinds of people, and they are all so very unique.  Isn’t it amazing how God created everyone in their own special and unique way?  Isn’t it wonderful how God gave every special and unique person His One and only, unique Son to be their Savior?  For all kinds, there is One!

“Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.”  1 Corinthians 8:6
